Programmed mutagenesis

Lymphocytes are central in detecting and eradicating pathogens as well as cancer cells. Their development and function underlie the (in)activation of specific molecular programs. Our group focuses on the identification and characterization of these programs at the molecular, cellular, and systemic level (Fundamental Research).

These fundamental insights are translated into optimized cancer therapy. This includes the (re)awakening of lymphocytes to optimize immune responses (Immunotherapy), the targeting of lymphoma specific vulnerabilities and other cancers (Personalized Cancer Medicine).
