Postdoctoral fellows

All postdocs at the NKI will have the opportunity to work on their own research projects and develop their independence. They receive access to our research facilities, international seminar program, and an environment which can be described as very open, collaborative, and vibrant with room for constructive criticism. The NKI has developed a training program for postdocs to support their professional and personal development and to promote informal interactions between postdocs.

The NKI has an active postdoc committee. The committee represents the interests of all postdoctoral fellows working at the NKI. Its goals are to evaluate and improve the environment and education for NKI postdocs.

The NKI offers and exciting research environment that motivates everyone to do impactful research. Postdocs will be given the opportunity to develop their own independence. All postdocs receive a competitive salary. Postdocs are hired on a temporary contract ranging between one to four years depending on the available funding. Postdocs are welcome to apply to work on a project funded by a group leader, or they can bring their own fellowship.

Yes, the NKI has a Postdoc committee that represents the postdoc community. They organize activities for the postdocs like informal lunch meetings, alumni meetings and social events. You can contact them at postdocinfo@nki.nl. The NKI offers a training program with workshops for all postdocs to help them develop their own personal and professional careers and build peer groups.
