Clinical fellows

The NKI is a Comprehensive Cancer Center. We have several options for further development available to medical doctors. The hospital offers trainings for medical doctors looking to specialize in many different areas of oncology (see the AVL hospital for more info). Medical doctors can also embark on a PhD project in basic, translational or clinical research embedded in a research group.

What kind of research can I do as an MD PhD student?
MD PhD students can join one of the many NKI research groups and start a PhD project. This can either be clinically oriented, or focus on a basic (bio)medical research question.

Can I train to become a specialized oncology doctor at the NKI?
Our hospital offers positions for medical doctors to specialize in one of the many areas of oncology treatment, ranging from diagnostics to treatment and follow-up care. See the AVL website for more information.

Do I need to speak Dutch to study at the NKI?
The main language at the NKI is English, but if your research involves contact with patients then Dutch is needed.
