Master Students

Master students also have the opportunity to take part in cutting-edge research and to enjoy its associated excitement and challenges. The NKI is happy to receive Master students from universities and HLO schools for rotation projects. English is used in the daily communication in the NKI. University students may undertake projects in the institute provided they have obtained a Bachelor's degree with a major in Biology, Medical Biology, Medicine, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a closely related subject. In addition, the Division of Psychosocial Research and Epidemiology takes students with relevant theoretical backgrounds. Students with a background in informatics and/or physics can also join the research facilities or the Division of Radiotherapy. For every Masters student who does a project in the institute in the area of Biology/Medicine/Chemistry for more than 4 months it is possible to follow the course and examination in experimental oncology.

Master students interested in rotation projects are invited to make direct contact with a research group at the NKI, for general information contact the dean of Master Education (onderwijscoördinator), Roderick Beijersbergen (email: r.beijersbergen@nki.nl, university students).
