RNA translation in epithelium

In the Faller lab we try to answer the question “How does a cancer cell produce all the things it needs to grow and spread?”. In our cells we have molecular machines called ribosomes that make everything we need to live.

Cancer cells hijack these machines to make all the proteins that they needs. We study how cancer cells do this, and try to understand what exactly the cancer is using the ribosomes for, in order to identify possible targets of therapy.
