Tiziano Natali

In 2021 I graduated from Utrecht University with a Master’s diploma in Game and Media Technology. Here, I focused my studies on computer vision, image processing and data analysis. I also took part to  projects in two different companies where I could apply my knowledges in the aforementioned fields. I did my Master thesis internhsip at NKI/AVL where I developed a deep-learning based system for tomographic reconstruction of untracked 2D ultrasound images, and grew an interest for the medical image processing world.

During my PhD I will continue the project started in my master's thesis, joining a multidisciplinar team that will help to improve the system. As a side project, I will be developing a software for navigated surgery, aimed at improving the success rate of tumor ablations/resections.
