Timon Utecht

I first joined the group of Karin de Visser in May 2025 for a Masters internship. 

Intrigued by the research field of tumor immunology, I returned to Karin’s group in March 2026 to start my PhD. My project focuses on deciphering how individual driver mutations impact the tumor immune microenvironment in breast cancer, with the ultimate goal of developing novel therapeutic strategies to aid treatment in patients harboring such mutations.
