Email Wim van Harten Valesca Retel Health Technology Assessment

I joined Valesca Retèl’s research group in September 2024. My PhD track is part of the DIRECT-DCIS project, for which I will conduct an early cost-effectiveness study on the implementation of an AI risk prediction tool that aids decision-making in DCIS. The goal is to reduce overtreatment by identifying women with low-risk DCIS who can avoid undergoing surgery. This economic evaluation will be further informed using the scenario drafting method, which uses expert elicitation to evaluate implementation barriers.
