In September 2025, I joined the group of Sanne Schagen as a PhD student.

My PhD project, funded by the Dutch Cancer Society, focuses on the development of a digital, computerized adaptive neuropsychological test battery to assess cognitive functioning in individuals with cancer and cancer survivors. The project integrates principles from item response theory and computerized adaptive testing to create a tool that is precise, efficient, and tailored to the individual patient.

The aim is to develop a patient-friendly assessment that can serve as an adjunct to the diagnostic process, providing an initial indication of cognitive status. By enabling early and scalable screening, the tool may support more informed referral decisions to neuropsychological care, while reducing burden for both patients and healthcare systems.
