Okan Ghedri

I am a medical doctor currently pursuing a PhD at the NKI, focusing on translational research in urologic oncology.

I am involved in the PRIAM study, a phase II clinical trial investigating the effectiveness of chemo-immunotherapy as induction treatment for locoregionally advanced penile cancer. I obtained my medical degree from Utrecht University and previously conducted research at Harvard Medical School, supported by a grant from the Netherlands-America Foundation (NAF).

I believe translational research offers the greatest opportunity to improve patient outcomes by bridging lab and clinic. I chose the NKI for its collaborative environment and leading role in oncology.
