Lucas van Schaik

In February 2022, I joined the group of Wim van Harten as a PhD student. My project focuses on the economic evaluation of broad molecular diagnostics in the advanced cancer setting. For this evaluation, I will look at clinical benefit and costs, but also at other determinants that might influence the choice for small or broad diagnostics.

In addition to that, in collaboration with the Centre for Early Diagnosis, I will examine the cost effectiveness of a screening strategy involving the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to identify prostate cancer in high risk individuals.
