Kevin Tittel

After having graduated from the MSc in Econometrics & Management Science at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, I started my PhD at the NKI in February 2023, joining the research group of Wim van Harten and Valesca Retèl.

My PhD trajectory contributes to the international OncoValue project, where I will focus on developing a future-proof hybrid framework, based on high-quality (AI-generated) real world data (e.g. radiology images, free text), to perform health technology assessments in oncology. By establishing an AI-based framework for assessing the real-life effectiveness of novel cancer therapies in real-time, I will help to improve care and access of patients to cancer treatment using both structured and unstructured real world data.
