Phone Email Leila Akkari

In August 2020, I joined the group of Leila Akkari as a postdoctoral fellow. Here, I investigate the role of specific macrophage subsets in glioblastoma malignancy, particularly focusing on their interactions with the heterogeneous brain tumor microenvironment.

Since February 2024, I have started a new role as a research associate, where I coordinate projects in collaboration with Leiden University and UvA to develop novel therapeutic approaches targeting malignant subsets of macrophages in glioblastoma.
