Joana Rodrigues Braz de Carvalho

In September 2024, I joined the research group of Wim van Harten and Valesca Retèl as a PhD student. As part of the European Fair Pricing Network (EFPN), my research focuses on negotiation strategies to achieve affordable pharmaceutical prices and promoting greater transparency in research and development costs.

Founded in 2019 by over ten European cancer leagues, the EFPN advocates for equitable access to high-quality, affordable cancer medicines across Europe. I am eager to contribute to this mission by helping ensure that innovative therapies and health technologies become accessible to patients at fair prices.
