I will be studying a family of proteins, called SMC proteins, which are essential for organising the 3D structure of our DNA. I did my PhD with Professor Kim Nasmyth at Oxford university, and I’m very excited to now be living Amsterdam. My hobbies include a lot of sports like MMA, yoga, rowing, hiking, and above all, I love gardening and had an allotment in Oxford where I used to grow my own fruits and vegetables!
