Irene Querol Velilla

Following the completion of my bachelor’s degree, my interest in immunology and cancer research led me to Amsterdam where I completed a master’s in oncology. Within the program, I carried out two internships in the field of tumor immunology.

Pursuing my enthusiasm for the role of innate immune cells in cancer, I joined the group of Karin de Visser as a PhD student in September 2023. Here, my focus is to understand and disrupt neutrophil promotion of breast cancer metastasis.
