For my master thesis, I performed a research internship at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in the group of Winette van der Graaf.
2013-2020
Obtained my medical degree from the Universiteit van Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
After graduating as a medical doctor, I started as a PhD student in the group of Emile Voest in February 2021.
My main project is coordinating the Drug-Rediscovery trial (DRUP).This is a nationwide clinical trial in which patients are treated with approved targeted or immunotherapy, based on their molecular tumor profile. It aims to facilitate access to potentially effective therapy and to evaluate efficacy and toxicity. Furthermore, it creates a national platform, in which targeted drugs and accompanying biomarkers can be tested across various tumor types.
I am also involved in the Drug Access Protocol, which is a nationwide protocol to expand patient access to unauthorized anti-cancer drugs.
