Daniil Anastasopoulos

After obtaining my bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Patras in Greece, I came to the Netherlands to study Biomedical Science with a focus on Advanced Microscopy at the University of Amsterdam. I worked in the group of Prof. Dr. Kees Jalink in developing a genome-wide microscopy screen to identify genes involved in cAMP signaling. Next, I worked on fighting CD8 T cell exhaustion using a synthetic Notch receptor in the group of Dr. Derk Amsen, in Sanquin Research.

In September 2022, I joined the group of Prof. Dr. Karin de Visser as a PhD student to investigate innovative ways of mobilizing innate leukocytes to improve breast cancer therapy.
