Master student

During my early studies I interned at the Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool Unversity in 2019 focusing on the DEK oncogene. Later in 2020 I continued my studies at the LCAB (Leiden) where I identified germination amoeboid genes in light of Acanthamoeba keratitis. Upon starting my MSc degree in Biology at Leiden University in between 2021-2022, I explored the imaging potential of two-photon microscopy for the glucocorticoid receptor.

My fascination for chromatin biology and cancer resulted me in joining the Fred van Leeuwen group for my final MSc internship to investigate role of DOT1L in CD8 T-cell development and functionality.
