Marcelo Sobral-Leite studied several of such biomarker during his PhD research. He discovered that the protein Annexin A1 can be valuable for predicting the breast cancer survival of patients in high risk groups, such as patients with HER2-positive cancers. He also investigated the predictive value of immune cells present in the tumor. He will defend his thesis at Utrecht University on June 11th. Good luck Marcelo!
