“Cancer Patients Better Life Experience” (CAPABLE) is a Horizon2020 European Union funded project. As part of CAPABLE, the NKI (under the leadership of Annelies Boekhout) will provide clinical input and carry out the clinical studies (qualitative studies, cohort study) within the project. In the course of 4 years, a smartphone application will be developed in the CAPABLE consortium. During the clinical pilot trial, a prospective cohort of melanoma patients undergoing ICIs in the AvL will be included to use the app throughout their treatment. The app will follow-up on symptoms and will coach the patient on medical and psychosocial aspects. Endpoint of this study is health-related quality of life (HRQoL). This will be compared with a historical cohort who has the same features and measured endpoints.
