Scientific honesty and publicly shared lab notebooks: Sharing lab notebooks along with publication would increase transparency and help to improve honesty when reporting results.

A standard practice of releasing lab notebooks as supplementary data would help to reduce biased and incomplete reporting in scientific papers. New electronic lab notebook systems offer an opportunity towards this increased level of transparency. [Image: see text]
