Researcher Zuhir Bodalal Building Bridges The Need For Mentors And Multidisciplinarity In Oncology

I graduated summa cum laude from the Faculty of Medicine in Benghazi, Libya and was engaged in a surgical residency prior to making the transition midway towards Medical Oncology. In addition to my clinical training, I graduated from the Masters of Oncology program at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam with a focus on immuno-oncology. After having completed extensive immuno-oncological internships at the Cancer Center of Amsterdam (CCA-VUmc) and the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI), I started a PhD within the Immunotherapy Imaging Team under the supervision of Professor Regina Beets-Tan. My research line focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence in tumour (immuno)profiling and characterization.
