Wei-Kai Lin

After practicing as a general physician, I pivoted to academic research with a focus on applying machine learning in medicine. My experiences range from identifying renal failure with ultrasonography to auto-segmenting nasopharyngeal carcinoma in CT/CBCT images. In 2020, I earned a Master's in Translational Medicine from UC Berkeley and UCSF, emphasizing the transition of research insights into clinical applications.

I joined the Jan-Jakob Sonke group in January 2024 as a PhD student, where my research centers on enhancing CBCT quality through the application of deep learning techniques.
