Silvie Janssen

Silvie Janssen is a postdoctoral researcher at the Erasmus Medical Center and Netherlands Cancer Institute. She devoted her PhD to gaining insight in the cancer survivorship experiences of those diagnosed during adolescence and young adulthood, unraveling the issues they face, identifying subgroups at risk of impaired outcomes and providing input for the development of tailored AYA cancer survivorship care for current and future AYA cancer survivors. As a postdoc, she will continue her research on improving the care for and outcomes of AYAs with cancer, with a special focus on the development and implementation of a monitoring- and evaluation-system for AYA care in the Netherlands. Besides this, Silvie is chair of the organizing committee of the Dutch AYA Cancer congress SPACE4AYA and an active member of the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Quality of Life Group (QLG).
