Email Rik LindeboomDuring my Master’s, I investigated peroxisome homeostasis in Drosophila embryogenesis, uncovering a dynamic redistribution of peroxisomes during epithelial cell formation. This early experience shaped my interest in understanding how subcellular and molecular organization governs development and disease.
My research work at NKI focuses on developing some innovative genomics tools to understand the molecular mechanisms regulating the Transcription factor binding in vivo, i.e how a certain molecular architecture of a chromatin and DNA regulates the Transcription factor binding. I aim to build interpretable deep learning models that predict TF binding under proteomic and epigenomic changes, such as those seen in cancer.
