Romy de Graaf is a research assistant at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, where she works on the COMPRAYA study focusing on the long-term medical and psychosocial outcomes of adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer patients. She holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Amsterdam. During her studies, Romy completed her thesis internship at the NKI, where she investigated epigenetic accelerated aging in female AYA breast cancer patients, focusing on the relationship between DNA methylation-based aging markers and health-related quality of life. In her current role, she supports the coordination and execution of clinical research, including data collection and collaboration between participating centers. In addition to her academic background, Romy has completed training as a holistic coach.
