Ricfrid van der Marel

I am a molecular biologist with a BSc in Molecular Life Sciences and an MSc in Bioinformatics. 

I joined the van Steensel lab in November 2025, where I’ll use a deep learning model and large optimized reporter assays to gain insight into the basic mechanisms and principles that govern gene regulation. Specifically, I’ll work on the MPRA and PARM project lines.
