I graduated with a masters degree in optics and photonics, specialising in optical systems from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany in 2020. During the course of my master studies, I had an opportunity to work for Fraunhofer IOSB, Continental AG and Carl Zeiss AG, where I developed deep interest for optical design and Artificial Intelligence. Now, as a PhD student in Ruer's group, I have an opportunity to integrate my knowledge in optics and AI to develop a smart laparoscope for an Augmented Reality based navigation system to aid the surgeon with precision while performing surgical proceudres as a part of cancer treatment.
