Elzo de Wit

546849 Qian Wang

In April 2025,  I joined the group of Elzo de Wit as a postdoctoral researcher to decipher the mechanism by which cohesin regulates the three-dimensional structure of genome and gene expression.

Work experience

I obtained my PhD degree from Leiden University Medical Center under the supervision of Prof. Rob C. Hoeben and Dr. Manuel A.F.V. Gonçalves, where my research focused on enhancing genome editing procedures through using high-fidelity CRISPR/Cas9 nickase-based approaches.

Afterwards, I joined the group of Prof. Peter ten Dijke as a postdoctoral researcher to investigate the regulatory role of non-coding RNAs in TGFβ/SMAD signaling.
