Pleun has a background in speech and language therapy and holds a Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology. Pleun is a research assistant for the COMPRAYA 2.0 study, which investigates the impact of cancer diagnosed during young adulthood. In this role, Pleun is responsible for conducting the study, including collecting data and coordinating communication with participating centers. In addition, Pleun works as a planner for Phase I clinical trials at the research unit. Furthermore, Pleun serves as a scientific editor for the journal of the professional association for psychosocial oncology.
