Niek Schoemaker

I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Molecular Life Sciences at Wageningen University and my master’s degree in Molecular Mechanisms of Disease at Radboud University. During my master’s, I completed two research internships in molecular hematology and RNA biology.

In January 2026, I joined the group of Jacqueline Jacobs to study the mechanisms of genomic instability resulting from telomere deprotection.
