Neus Pérez Lorite

I completed my Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology and my Master's in Biomedical Research at the University of Lleida (Spain). I then pursued a PhD in Molecular Biology under the supervision of Dr. Jordi Torres-Rosell and Dr. Neus Colomina, focusing my research on the role of the SMC5/6 complex in DNA replication and its contribution to genome stability. This work heightened my interest in investigating telomere maintenance mechanisms in cancer cells. In April 2025, I joined Dr. Jacqueline Jacobs' group as a postdoctoral researcher to study the Alternative Lengthening of Telomeres (ALT) pathway in pediatric cancers.
