In September 2023, I joined the groups of Lonneke van de Poll and Martijn Stuiver as a PhD student. Here, my project focuses on understanding the factors that influence the interaction about exercise advice between patients with prostate cancer and care providers, with the aim of enhancing this interaction. Specifically, we want to gain insights into the dynamic nature of the care provider - patient interaction concerning lifestyle advice, to identify targets for improvement. Additionally, we will explore the role of low health literacy and stigma and we will identify those aspects in the interaction between care provider and patient which are both important and feasible to improve.
