Merle van Leeuwen

In January 2021, I joined the group of Jelle Wesseling as a PhD student for the Breast-CARE study. This project focuses on improving breast cancer detection accuracy of mammography by using artificial intelligence and epidemiology.

Work experience

2018 - 2020
Worked as a junior project leader/researcher at the pharmacy department of Haga Hospital in the Hague

2014 - 2017 
Obtained my Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Leiden, The Netherlands

2010 - 2014 
Obtained my Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Health Sciences from the University of Amsterdam (VU), The Netherlands
