In August 2022 I obtained my MSc degree in Biology at the Leiden University with the specialization Molecular Genetics & Biotechnology. During my internships I have worked on a wide range of topics, including genome editing in S. cerevisiae (yeast), functional genomics in Arabidopsis, gene regulation in strawberry plants, and soil metagenomics.
I joined the Bas van Steensel group as a PhD student in January 2023. My project focuses on the fundamental mechanisms and principles underlying the linear arrangement of regulatory elements in mammalian genomes.
