During my Master’s internship studying gene regulation in yeast at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, I became fascinated by the multiple layers of gene regulation and how they ultimately shape cellular function. Building on my experience in both computational and experimental research, I decided to explore these mechanisms further.
In February 2026, I joined Fred van Leeuwen’s group as a PhD student, where my project focuses on decoding epigenetics in T cells to improve cancer therapy, with a particular interest in understanding DOT1L-mediated regulation and its impact on T-cell function.
