Maro Ockhuijsen

In 2025 I obtained my MSc Drug Discovery Sciences from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, specializing in Molecular Pharmacology. During my MSc internships, I’ve worked on numerous topics, including hit picking in mRNA display and identification of essential IDRs in yeast.

In February 2026, I joined Natalie Scholes’ group at NKI, where I’ll be focusing on investigating oncogenic kinase mutations and identify new ways to modulate their function using chemical induced proximity approaches.
