Already during my bachelor’s in medicine, I became fascinated by the immune system and its regulatory function in both health and disease. This motivated me to do a research master in immunology parallel to my medical master. During this master I performed two different laboratory research projects, one in the field of systemic autoimmunity and one in the field of tumor immunology.

In future I would like to continue being involved in both laboratory research and clinical work in the hospital. In April 2021 I joined the group of John Haanen as a MD-PhD student. My project will involve both clinical and translational work and I will focus on T-cell related therapies in patients with a variety of tumors.
