Kevin holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Technical Medicine, specializing in Medical Imaging & Intervention, from the University of Twente in Enschede. He interned at renowned medical institutions including Netherlands Cancer Institute and Massachusetts General Hospital, gaining practical experience in medical imaging and deep learning applications.
In 2020, Kevin started his PhD research at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, where he has been developing AI algorithms aimed at standardizing the evaluation of respiratory diseases. During this period, he also served as a visiting researcher at the University Hospital of Zurich, focusing on the external validation of his AI models. One such model is in the process of clinical implementation at the Netherlands Cancer Institute. Recently, he started his own research line in visual foundational models for Radiology, with the goal of creating powerful embedding of radiological images to enhance the diagnostic capabilities of AI models.
