In April 2019, Justina joined Protein Facility at NKI. Justina is responsible for the expression of recombinant proteins in bacteria, insect cells (using baculovirus) and mammalian cells, followed by purification using automated chromatography procedures. The production size can vary from analytical to larger scale, depending on request and application. Moreover, Justina has acquired experience in a number of biophysical assays, such as ITC, TSA and nanoDSF, and protein crystallisation.
