Julia Yemelyanenko

In January 2021, I became a PhD student in the group of Jos Jonkers, where my main project focuses on functionally validating somatic variants of unknown significance (VUS) in clinically actionable kinases.

2019 - 2020
Technician position in the group of Jos Jonkers, mainly focusing on validating a novel potential mTOR inhibitor resistance mechanism in invasive lobular carcinoma.

2016 - 2018
Obtained my Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Oncology research from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Within my Master’s studies, I performed two research internships: one at the VUmc Cancer Center Amsterdam, and another one at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in the lab of Jos Jonkers

2012 - 2016
Obtained my Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Human Biology from the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain. Within my Bachelor’s studies, I performed two research internships abroad: one in the University of Debrecen, Hungary, and another one in the University of Adelaide, Australia
