In November 2022, I joined the group of Jos Jonkers as a PhD student. My project focuses on the prevention and early interception of BRCA1-associated breast cancer. Our goal is to find non-invasive approaches to prevent breast cancer in BRCA1 mutation carriers so that mutation carriers will not have to undergo prophylactic surgeries.

2020-2022
Obtained my master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences at Leiden University with a specialization in research. My master’s consisted of two internships: ‘Investigating GRHL2 transcription factor regulated targetable vulnerabilities in breast cancer’ at LACDR and ‘Elucidating Myc-mediated mechanisms of immune evasion in BRCA1-mutated TNBC’ at NKI.

2015-2020
Obtained my bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences at Leiden University. During my bachelor’s, I performed a research internship focused on drug resistance in TNBC.
