I have obtained my PhD degree (Cum Laude) on 'M.R.I. of Laryngeal Cancer' at Free University Hospital in 1987. Subsequently I completed my Radiology training in 1992. I worked as a Neuro- and Head and Neck Radiologist mainly at the Free University Hospital.
After my retirement in June 2019 I work at the NKI-AVl. My main scientific field is Diagnostic Radiology of Head & Neck Oncology. I am actively involved in several research projects on multi-parametric oncologic imaging, on radiomics and radio-genomics.
In 2017 I was awarded by the ESHNR with Gold Medal Lifetime-achievement.
In 2019 I was awarded as "Ridder in de orde vna de Nederlandse Leeuw".
