Alfred Schinkel

Jamie Rijmers

In October 2021, I joined the group of Alfred Schinkel as a PhD student. My project will focus on the effect of ABC and OATP transporters and drug-metabolizing enzymes on in vivo drug efficacy. Both pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of anti-cancer drugs will be evaluated using in vivo mouse models. The obtained insights may help to improve the pharmacotherapy of cancer, but might also be applicable to other diseases.

Work experience

2019-2021
I obtained my Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Drug Discovery and Safety from Vrije Universiteit.

2016-2019
I obtained my Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Vrije Universiteit.
