NKI Placeholder Profiel

Isabella Olgers is a research assistant within the Department of Psychosocial Research and Epidemiology. She is currently studying Biopharmaceutical Sciences, through which she has gained research experience in both biomedical and clinical-scientific settings. As part of her research internship, she worked on computational drug design in oncology, contributing to early-stage anticancer drug development. This sparked her continued interest in the field of oncology.

With her background in biopharmaceutical sciences, Isabella brings a valuable perspective to the research group. At the same time, she is deliberately expanding her expertise beyond molecular biochemistry by focusing on quality of life and psychosocial aspects in adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer. She works across both locations of the research group: Antoni van Leeuwenhoek in Amsterdam and Erasmus MC in Rotterdam. Her main focus is the COMPRAYA study, and she is also involved in several other AYA-related studies.
