Francesca D’Amico

I joined the NKI in 2026 to tackle a major challenge in immuno-oncology: identifying cancer-specific cell surface epitopes for antibody-based therapeutics. Working between the Lindeboom and Voest/van de Haar labs, I integrate proteomics, computational modeling, and molecular biology to discover and target previously inaccessible cancer proteins.

Trained as a Pharmaceutical Chemist, I completed my PhD at the LUMC (Leiden) where I specialized in Chemical Biology and Biochemistry. Bridging wet-lab experiments with computational approaches, I developed integrated platforms for small-molecule inhibitor discovery and chemical probes for cell-based assays and proteomics analysis.
