Since 2015, I am a staff scientist in the research group of Jelle Wesseling, Molecular Pathology department. Here, I focus on developing prognostic and predictive tests for breast cancer. First, I aim to identify predictive markers for neoadjvuant chemotherapy benefit. Second, I focus on identifying prognostic biomarkers for ductal carcinoma in situ.

In both research themes, we explore the wealth of data of the national cancer registry, the national pathology archive and our in house biobank. Using molecular techniques, such as immunohistochemistry, RNAseq and copy number analysis, we successfully stratified DCIS and breast cancer patients in prognostic subgroups.
