Phone Email Marjanka SchmidtIn 2023, I joined the NKI-AVL as a data manager for Hebon, a national cohort study of families at high risk for breast and ovarian cancer. Within this study, I was involved in the collection, management, and cleaning of risk factor data, with the overarching aim of contributing to more personalized cancer risk prediction, surveillance, and clinical follow-up for women from families with hereditary breast and ovarian cancer risk.
Since February 2026, I am a PhD candidate in the group of Marjanka Schmidt. I continue to work within the Hebon study, and the focus of my PhD project is to improve the inclusiveness of the cohort by reaching more diverse groups of participants, including individuals who currently have limited access to research or healthcare.
