During my bachelor and master program in biomedical sciences at the University of Utrecht, I became fascinated by cellular biology. I obtained my PhD degree in the lab of Tobias Dansen at the University Medical Center Utrecht, studying the role of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in DNA damage.

In May 2025, I joined the lab of Michiel Vermeulen as postdoc, pursuing my interest in DNA damage repair. Here I am studying transcription-coupled nucleotide excision repair (TC-NER) via a proteomics-based approach.
